PU materials are divided into polyester-type TPU and polyether-type TPU. Long-term storage or use in humid environments-especially with polyester-type PU materials-can trigger hydrolysis (a chemical degradation process), which destroys the internal structure of the hose and leads to sudden rupture. Long-term warehousing can also cause material aging.

In complex environments such as automotive repair, repeated dragging, friction, entanglement, or bending radii that are too small can cause mechanical damage to the outer wall of the hose, serving as a trigger for bursting.
