If the following situations occur, replace the Standard Polyurethane Tubing immediately
1. Visible physical damage:
1) Incision, crack or perforation: Any surface damage deep enough to the inner lining layer, even small, can rapidly expand under high pressure and cause rupture.
2) Severe wear: The outer coating is severely worn, exposing the reinforcement layer (usually braided wire).
3) Bulge/Bubble: Local bulging of the pipe wall forms a bulge, indicating that the inner lining layer has been damaged. Compressed air enters the reinforcement layer, which is a strong signal of imminent explosion! It must be replaced immediately!
4) Flattening deformation: The hose is flattened and cannot return to a circular shape, seriously affecting the diameter and flow rate.
5) Hardening or embrittlement: The hose becomes very hard, loses elasticity, and is prone to cracking when bent. Often caused by low temperature, aging, or contact with incompatible chemicals.
6) Softening or excessive expansion: The hose is abnormally soft or has a significantly expanded diameter. Often caused by high temperature, high pressure, or contact with oil/chemicals.
2. Signs of internal issues:
Internal wall detachment/particulate matter: Black (usually inner lining) or white (usually polyurethane substrate) debris is found from the nozzle or downstream filter, indicating that the inner lining has begun to peel off and deteriorate, which can contaminate the air path and block valve components.
3. Loss of elasticity: After being bent, the Standard Polyurethane Tubing cannot quickly return to its original state and becomes weak and powerless. This is a clear sign of aging.
4. Performance degradation:
Leakage: Despite the correct and secure connection of the joint, the hose body or the root of the joint continues to leak air (confirmed by listening to sound or testing with soapy water).
5. Abnormal increase in pressure loss: Under the same operating conditions, if the system reaches the target pressure for a longer time or experiences greater pressure fluctuations, excluding other reasons such as air compressors, filters, and dew points, it may be due to the detachment or deformation of the inner wall of the hose causing a decrease in diameter and an increase in resistance.
6. Lifespan/Time:
Achieve or exceed the manufacturer's recommended service life.
7. Lack of maintenance records: If the hose has been used for many years but has never been inspected, planned replacement should also be considered for safety reasons, especially for hoses in critical positions.
