Our company was founded in 2007 and has been committed to the research and development, production, and sales of polyurethane products since its establishment. Our company is located in Yantai, Shandong, the birthplace of polyurethane products in China. Wanhua, a large raw material manufacturer in China, is also located here. We have unique advantages in terms of technical support, technological innovation, and raw material procurement. After nearly 20 years of development, we have a strong technical team, production team, and sales team, as well as multiple advanced casting production and testing equipment. Our high-performance PU wheels have received unanimous praise from customers for their high-quality products and reasonable prices.

To produce high-performance PU wheels, the key lies in three core aspects: material selection, bonding process, and curing control. The following details must be strictly controlled during production:

1. Core Material Selection

Polyurethane System: Select materials based on operating conditions. For high-speed, heavy-load applications, use the NDI system (e.g., Covestro's Vulkollan®). For cost-effective options, MDI/TDI systems are suitable. A formulation with high hardness (86–93A) and high resilience (rebound rate >70%) effectively reduces rolling resistance and minimizes internal heat generation.

Metal Core: Typically made of high-strength steel (e.g., carbon steel) to ensure structural integrity, or aluminum alloy to reduce weight.

2. Metal Core Pretreatment – The Most Critical Step

This is the most important step to prevent adhesive failure. Ensure the following:

Thoroughly clean the core surface to remove all oil and impurities.

Increase surface roughness via sandblasting or chemical etching to significantly enhance the bonding strength between PU and metal.

3. Casting and Curing

Precision Casting: Strictly control the ratio of prepolymer to curing agent and the mixing temperature. Vacuum casting is recommended to eliminate bubbles and prevent porosity-related strength loss.

High-Temperature Curing: A critical step determining material performance. Curing temperature (typically 100–150°C) and time must be precisely controlled to avoid under-curing (poor performance) or over-curing (brittleness). Some forklift tires require secondary curing lasting up to 15–18 hours to ensure performance stability.

4. Rigorous Post-Processing and Quality Inspection

Dynamic Balancing Test: Mandatory for high-performance PU wheels used in high-speed applications. Imbalance causes vibration during rotation, accelerating wheel wear and failure.

Load and Wear Resistance Tests: Before leaving the factory, wheels must undergo overload testing (e.g., 1.5 times the rated load for 24 hours) and DIN abrasion testing to ensure compliance with design requirements.
