1.Typical applications of clear 1/2 inch polyurethane air hose:

2.Important considerations – When this hose may not be the optimal choice:

While the clear 1/2" polyurethane air hose offers outstanding performance in many applications, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. In the following scenarios, alternative materials such as nylon tubing may be more suitable:

High-Temperature Environments – The standard PU hose has a continuous operating temperature limit of approximately 40°C (104°F). Prolonged exposure near ovens, dryers, or other heat sources can degrade its mechanical properties and shorten service life.

High-Pressure Systems – When system pressure consistently exceeds 12 bar (174 psi), standard PU hoses may not provide adequate safety margins. In such cases, heavy-duty PU variants or nylon tubes with superior pressure resistance are strongly recommended.

Exposure to Aggressive Chemicals – Although PU hose exhibits good oil resistance, it may not withstand certain strong solvents or specialty chemicals as effectively as nylon tubing. Always verify chemical compatibility before installation when exposure to aggressive substances is anticipated.
