Red Polyurethane Tubing

To make red polyurethane tubing more durable, the key is to understand its characteristics-it's not just a simple rubber hose. The two biggest "enemies" of PU tubing are moisture/hydrolysis and UV aging.

1. Avoid direct sunlight and corrosive environments.

Prevent UV exposure: UV rays make PU tubing brittle and prone to aging. Avoid using it outdoors if possible.

Avoid chemical contact: Keep it away from strong acids, alkalis, organic solvents (e.g., toluene, alcohol), and seawater, as these can corrode the tube wall.

2. Be cautious in humid environments.

Polyester-based PU tubing is prone to degradation in hot and humid conditions. If the environment is damp, it is recommended to choose polyether-based PU tubing, which is naturally more resistant to hydrolysis.

3. Strictly control pressure and temperature.

The working pressure should refer to the standard value at 20°C. It is recommended to keep the working pressure within 12 kg (approx. 1.2 MPa). Note that different specifications of red polyurethane tubing may have slight variations.

High temperatures significantly reduce pressure resistance. The recommended operating temperature range is -20°C to 40°C. Avoid sudden pressure shocks.

4. Do not use a bending radius that is too small, as this may cause kinking or blockage.

5. Keep cuts clean and square. Use a dedicated tube cutter. If the tubing will be subjected to movement, leave enough slack and keep it away from sharp edges.
