1. Precautions for producing 6 "x 2" Red Polyurethane on Iron Wheel
1)Surface treatment and bonding control
Sandblasting quality: Glue should be applied within 4 hours after sandblasting to prevent regeneration and oxidation; The accumulated height of the wheel hub should be ≤ 25 cm to avoid uneven sandblasting.
Adhesive management: requires sealed storage; When the viscosity is too high after mixing, a specialized diluent of ≤ 10% can be added. Excess will reduce adhesion.
2)Prevention of Injection Molding Process Defects
Bubbles and pores: The raw materials need to be fully defoamed, and the injection molding rate should be ≤ 12 m/s (too high can easily draw in air); The mold temperature needs to be stable, as excessive temperature differences can lead to solidification and delamination.
Use of release agent: Choose methyl silicone oil with appropriate viscosity, and spray it thinly and evenly, otherwise it will affect the surface smoothness.
3)Material and storage requirements
Polyurethane raw material: MDI is sensitive to humidity and needs to be sealed and stored in a cool place (≤ 30 ℃); Before adding quartz powder, it needs to be dried to avoid moisture causing bubbles.
Construction environment: The temperature in the injection molding workshop is ≥ 5 ℃, and the humidity is ≤ 55%. Low temperatures can cause poor fluidity and uneven curing of polyurethane.
4)Special process requirements (for iron core design)
Mechanical interlocking structure: The surface of the iron wheel can be designed with grooves or protrusions (depth 0.5-1 mm) to enhance the mechanical biting force of polyurethane.
Red coloring consistency: The pigment needs to be added during the prepolymer stage to disperse at high speed and avoid color difference; The secondary vulcanization temperature should also be controlled within a certain range to prevent discoloration at high temperatures
