 Iron Core Pretreatment: Ensuring a Strong Bond

1.This is the most critical step, determining whether the polyurethane and iron will truly integrate.

2.Contamination (Oil, Rust, Dust, Plating Film): Oil, rust, dust, or surface films (e.g., from plating) on the iron core are the natural enemies of adhesion. If not thoroughly cleaned, they act like a layer of dust between a wall and paint, directly causing the polyurethane to detach entirely from the core during use (debonding).

3.Insufficient Surface Roughness: A smooth iron surface cannot provide enough surface area for bonding. Without sandblasting or grinding, the polyurethane struggles to adhere firmly. This significantly increases the risk of debonding.

4.Improper Adhesive Application: Failing to apply the required adhesive , not using it within the specified time window (e.g., within 2 hours of coating), or using incorrect drying temperatures/times will all lead to bond failure. The result is debonding during service.
