1. Technical requirements in the production of load bearing PU wheel

Bonding & Interface treatment: this is the key factor determining wheel safety and service life. A reliable bond must be ensured between the polyurethane tread and the metal wheel core (such as cast iron, aluminum, or steel).

Hardness & formula control: hardness is controlled by adjusting the polyurethane formula. Load bearing wheels generally require higher hardness to ensure load capacity, while also balancing wear resistance and elasticity.

Post-curing treatment: after demolding, the wheel has not yet reached its final strength. It needs to undergo post-curing in an oven at a certain temperature for several hours to complete the chemical reaction.

Precision casting & temperature control: during casting, mold temperature and pouring speed must be controlled to avoid bubbles, flow marks, or insufficient filling. Using multiple gates for material injection helps reduce deformation.

Machining & dynamic balancing: for high-demand load bearing wheels, the wheel core may need precision machining, and the finished product must have sufficient concentricity and dynamic balance to avoid vibration during high-speed operation.
