Precautions for Using clear 1/2 inch polyurethane air tubing

1. Operating Conditions

Ensure the tubing is used within the allowable temperature and pressure ranges specified by the manufacturer.

2. Other Key Precautions

Strictly Prohibit Operation Under Pressure:

Before disconnecting any tubing or fitting, make sure the air pressure in the line has been completely released to zero. Otherwise, the tubing may suddenly blow out under high pressure, causing a safety hazard.

Avoid Unfavorable Environments:

Do not use in conditions involving adiabatic compression (rapid gas compression that causes abnormally high temperatures), as this may cause a sharp temperature rise and lead to tubing rupture.

Avoid using the tubing in applications with severe vibration or impact.

Do not expose the tubing to corrosive gases, chemicals, seawater, or high-temperature steam.

Media Compatibility:

This transparent PU tubing is typically designed for compressed air. Avoid running water through it, as this may shorten its service life. It is also not suitable for oil delivery.

Regular Inspection and Replacement:

Establish a routine inspection schedule. Once you find any cracks, scratches, wear, hardening, softening, or air leaks on the clear 1/2 inch polyurethane air tubing, replace it immediately. Do not attempt to repair it and continue using it.
